Hawzah News Agency- Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Abdul Karim Paz, Head Imam of Buenos Aires Mosque in Argentina had a video conference with Iranian Quran TV. The discussion was about the achievements of Ayatollah Arafi’s recent trip to the Vatican and his meeting with Pope Francis, on Monday evening, June 20.

During the program Sheikh Abdul Karim went live on the air to speak about the interfaith dialogue and said, “God willing, the advent of Imam Mahdi (PBUH) will approach with the help of Jesus Christ (PBUH), and this promise of God is good news for all of us human beings that these two divine representatives will fill the earth with justice. “

He further said that, “The recent developments in interfaith talks between Christianity and Islam are a sign of Imam Mahdi’s (PBUH) arrival; The Pope's meeting with Senior Scholar Grand Ayatollah Sistani and his presence in the holy city of Najaf was a huge step which took place thanks to the Islamic Revolution, the great founder of the revolution late Imam Khomeini and the martyrs.”

The Friday Prayer Imam of Buenos Aires Mosque in Argentina went on to say,” The recent meeting of Ayatollah Arafi with Pope Francis was also a big step forward in this direction since Pope Francis received a historic and important message from the Supreme Leader of the Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei pointing out that the Pope is successful in supporting the oppressed, especially in Palestine and Yemen.”

It should be noted that Abdul Karim Paz (born Santiago Ricardo Paz Zuberbühler Bullrich) is an Argentine Shia cleric, head imam of the At-Tawhid mosque in the Floresta neighborhood. Paz serves also as a representative of Organización Islámica Argentina.
